Utility Users Tax

County residents and businesses pay a 5% utility users tax on electricity, gas, telephone and cell phone plans. This tax is paid monthly and is shown on your utility bills.

  • The City does not assess the 5% utility users tax.
  • By totaling monthly utility bills, the following table shows how much money you can save each year:
